Miyagi Prefecture is the central prefecture in the Tōhoku region with capital Sendai. As the local regional airline, Ibex is a logical partner of the prefecture and city tourism board and it was decided that starting May 2018 a CRJ of the airline was to sport decals of the mascot of the prefecture to boost tourism. The mascot is called Musubimaru and represents the region's abundant food with a "rice ball face" and the helmet with crescent of regional ruler of the Edo period Masamune Date.
This is the third version of the scheme with the port side being on the theme of "The Joy of Flying and Traveling" with a rainbow while the starboard side shows promotes highlights of Miyagi tourism.
This is the updated design of the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles baseball logojet at Ibex. The Golden Eagles are a team based in Sendai, as is Ibex. Note the two sides are different with the port side showing club mascots.

This updated scheme was chosen among 4 designs and was applied in April 2021; it had the Sendai Tanabata Festival as a motif and featured the Milky Way. The two sides showed different decals.

The Tohoku region was ravaged by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Ibex Airlines has its main base in Sendai and added these cheer up titles to all its aircraft in May 2011.
